With respect to the ongoing interviews under ARMOUR Work Package 2 'Mapping challenges, needs, innovative solutions required in the process of prevention and de-radicalization', we would like to remind you of the great job RAN does!

A Policy and Practice event took place in Berlin on 28 September 2018 that investigated how to engage with communities in the prevention and countering of violent extremism. An interesting points of view, presented by several practitioners providing guidelines in the fight against the violent extremism, can be found here: RAN Policy & Practice (Berlin) - Engaging with communities. They underline the role of community as an important factor in preventing the violent extremism, where a community is a group of people bound by identity (moral, interest, ethnicity), location or organisation.

The community engagement is a crucial factor and can be a valuable tool in preventing and countering violent extremism.
